The tiger (Panthera tigris) is the world’s largest cat and is one of the most threatened with extinction. As recently as 100 years ago, there were as many as 100,000 wild tigers living in Asia. Today, fewer than 3,200 remain. Six subspecies of tigers continue to persist, but three have gone extinct in the last 80 years.

The existing subspecies are the Bengal, Indochinese, Sumatran, Amur, Malayan, and the South-China subspecies (although no signs of the South-China subspecies have been recorded in the wild in the last 10 years).

The three extinct subspecies include the Javan (last recorded in the 1970's), Caspian (lost in the 1950's) and the Bali subspecies (lost in the 1930's).

Wild tigers are still found in 13 countries in Asia: India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia (Sumatra), Cambodia, Lao PDR, Vietnam, China and Russia. However, they are extinct in 11 countries and no longer live in 93% of their historic range.

Tigers are currently listed as “Endangered” on the International Union of the Conservation of Nature’s (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species. Ramesh Babu (born Ramesh Babu Ghattamaneni on 13 October 1965) better known as Ramesh Babu is an Indian film actor and film producer best known for his work in Telugu cinema. Born to actor Krishna, Ramesh Babu made his on screen debut with the film Needa in 1979. He acted in over 15 films before retiring from acting in 1997. In 2004, he became a producer and established Krishna Productions Private Ltd, a film production company named after his father. He produced films like Arjun and Athidhi, both of which had his brother Mahesh Babu in leading role. He recently acted as a presenter for 2011 successful film Dookudu.A black tiger is a rare colour variant of the tiger and is not a distinct species or geographic subspecies. There are reports and one painting (now lost) of pure black non-striped tigers (true melanistic tigers). Most black mammals are due to the non-agouti mutation. Agouti refers to the ticking of each individual hair. In certain light, the pattern still shows up because the background color is less dense than the colour of the markings.

So-called black tigers are due to pseudo-melanism. Pseudo-melanistic tigers have thick stripes so close together that the tawny background is barely visible between stripes. Such tigers are said to be getting more common due to inbreeding. They are also said to be smaller than normal tigers, perhaps also due to inbreeding or because large black leopards are misidentified as black tigers. A discussion of black tigers was presented by British cryptozoologist Dr Karl Shuker in his book Mystery Cats of the World.

Born Elijah Jordan Wood on Jan. 28, 1981 in Cedar Rapids, IA to parents Debbie and Warren, Wood began modeling as a youngster, and after being spotted by a Los Angeles-based talent agent, entered film with small parts in "Back to the Future II" (1989) and "Internal Affairs" (1990), in addition to several made-for-TV movies. Impressed by the child actor's ability, director Barry Levinson cast Wood as the grandson of Russian-Jewish immigrants growing up in mid-century Baltimore in his autobiographical family drama, "Avalon" (1990). The following year, he gave a heartwarming performance as a young boy who becomes the impetus for bringing an estranged married couple (Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith) back together after the death of their child in "Paradise" (1991). Wood continued to hone his craft in the Richard Donner directed "Radio Flyer" (1992), the nostalgic story of two young boys who take refuge in a rich fantasy life as a means of escaping the physical and emotional abuse of their stepfather. The same year, the busy young thespian starred opposite Mel Gibson and Jamie Lee Curtis in the romantic drama "Forever Young" (1992), about a man revived after being cryogenically frozen for 50 years. Wood held his own against child star Macauley Culkin as an orphan sent to live with his Svengali-like cousin after the death of his parents in "The Good Son" (1993). On cable, he appeared as a child ghost haunting a Nazi concentration camp soldier (Gary Sinise) in the mini-movie, "The Witness" (Showtime, 1993), and landed the title role in the Disneyfied big screen adaptation of Twain's "The Adventures of Huck Finn" (1993). The tale of a precocious boy who feels so unappreciated by his parents, that he deems himself a "free agent" and travels the world in search of the perfect mom and dad, "North" was a rare misfire for Reiner and was savaged by the critics. Receiving a slightly warmer welcome was the family drama "The War" (1994), starring Kevin Costner as a father recently returned from Vietnam. After a brief hiatus, Wood returned with the movie adaptation of the aquatic family adventure series "Flipper" (1996), opposite Paul Hogan. In "The Ice Storm" (1997), the critically lauded Ang Lee film that examined the interconnected lives of several people in an upper-class suburb in 1970s Connecticut, he played the troubled son of Sigourney Weaver. Wood followed up the next year with two more commercially friendly features. "The Faculty" (1998), directed by Robert Rodriguez and written by Kevin Williamson, was a teen horror movie about a group of high school students who discover their teachers' bodies are being taken over by malicious aliens. Also that year, Wood appeared in the big-budget, apocalyptic blockbuster "Deep Impact" (1998), which recounted the days leading up to an asteroid's collision with earth. Two years later, he made an appearance in James Toback's flawed experimental drama "Black and White" (1999), a largely improvised examination of race relations in urban America.The painting is a half-length portrait and depicts a seated woman, Lisa del Giocondo, whose facial expression has been frequently described as enigmatic. The ambiguity of the subject's expression, the monumentality of the composition, and the subtle modeling of forms and atmospheric illusionism were novel qualities that have contributed to the continuing fascination and study of the work. The image is widely recognised, caricatured, and sought out by visitors to the Louvre, and it is considered the most famous painting in the world.

Mona Lisa is named for Lisa del Giocondo, a member of the Gherardini family of Florence and Tuscany and the wife of wealthy Florentine silk merchant Francesco del Giocondo. The painting was commissioned for their new home and to celebrate the birth of their second son, Andrea.The sitter's identity was ascertained at the University of Heidelberg in 2005 by a library expert who discovered a 1503 margin note written by Agostino Vespucci.

Band Bio  Black Kids' rise to fame began on August 11, 2007, when they performed at the Athens Popfest in Athens, Georgia. Their show was enthusiastically received, leading to attention from the rock press and blogs. Soon the band received coverage in NME, Vice, The Guardian, and The Village Voice, among others.

Black Kids' demo EP, Wizard of Ahhhs, was released by the band in August 2007 via free download on their official MySpace page. On October 5, 2007, the EP received a favorable review of 8.4/10 from Pitchfork Media, including a "Best New Music" commendation.

In October 2007 Black Kids participated in the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City, earning the band exposure in media outlets such as The New York Times, and USA Today. Rolling Stone dubbed Black Kids one of the ten best new bands for 2008.

On February 4, Pitchfork Media reported that the Black Kids have signed to Almost Gold Recordings for distribution outside of North America. Their first single, a newly recorded version of "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance with You", was released on April 7, 2008 and debuted at #11 on the UK Singles Chart. The band performed the song on the first ever fully live broadcast of Later... with Jools Holland on April 1, 2008. The Kid is a 1921 American silent dramedy film written by, produced by, directed by and starring Charlie Chaplin, and features Jackie Coogan as his adopted son and sidekick. This was Chaplin's first full-length movie. It was a huge success, and was the second-highest grossing film in 1921, behind The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. In 2011, The Kid was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."An unwed woman (Edna Purviance) leaves a charity hospital carrying her newborn son. An artist (Carl Miller), the apparent father, is shown with the woman's photograph. When it falls into the fireplace, he first picks it up, then throws it back in to burn up.

The woman decides to leave her child in the back seat of an expensive automobile with a handwritten note imploring the finder to care for and love the baby. However, the car is stolen. When the two thieves discover the child, they leave him on the street. The Little Tramp (Charlie Chaplin) finds the baby. Unwilling at first to take on the responsibility, he eventually softens and names the boy John. Five years pass, and the child becomes the Tramp's partner in minor crime, throwing stones to break windows that the Tramp can then repair. Meanwhile, the woman becomes a wealthy star. She does charity work among the poor to fill the void of her missing child. By chance, mother and child meet, but do not recognize each other.

When the boy becomes sick, a doctor comes to see him. He discovers that the Tramp is not the boy's father. The Tramp shows him the note left by the mother, but the doctor merely takes it and notifies the authorities. Two men come to take the boy to an orphanage, but after a fight and a chase, the Tramp regains his boy. When the woman comes back to see how the boy is doing, the doctor tells her what has happened, then shows her the note, which she recognizes.

The geranium flower is black in colour – or pelargonium – is a genus of about 200 species which consists of perennial, shrub and succulent plants that grow best in moist, but well-drained soil and direct sunlight. Geraniums – sometimes referred to as storksbills – are known to bloom abundantly in temperate areas around the world. Both members of the geraniaceae family, the true geranium – also called the “hardy geranium” – is often confused with pelargoniums, as they were once considered a part of the same genus. Due to extensive breeding, the geranium flower comes in many shapes and colors – from funnel to star shaped; fuchsia, purple, orange, red, pink and white. These flowers are also thought to fall into six groups: angel, hanging, royal, zonal, unique and shrubby-leaved.

The geranium flower is quite varied in its uses. These flowers have for many years been cultivated for their culinary, household and medicinal uses. Geraniums are frequently used to flavor everything from baked goods to sugar, and – when dried – are known for their calming effect when steeped to create sweet, soothing teas. As a curative, geraniums are known to treat a number of problems. These flowers are thought to have strong antibacterial properties, and are often used as astringents to treat skin conditions – especially when mixed with witch hazel. They are also said to work wonders for stomach ailments, headaches and arthritis. As a household product, the extracted oils are commonly used to repel insects, as an aromatherapy product, or as a skin-conditioning bath ingredient. In legends, the geranium flower is thought to be both an aphrodisiac and talisman for protection. It is thought that spraying yourself with its scent can attract love, while spraying it around your house can protect you from harm.

The geranium flower has a good deal of mixed symbolism associated with it. The geranium is considered a feminine element and is thought to embody health, love, fertility and protection. These flowers are also said to represent friendship, and when presented to a new or old friend, are thought to symbolize preference for that particular individual. On the more negative side, these flowers may also represent folly, foolishness or melancholy. However, despite the few negative connotations, geraniums can make great gifts as they are a fabulous token of harmonious affections.Black Rose Books is the name of the Montreal anarchist publisher and small press imprint headed by the libertarian-municipalist/anarchist Dimitrios Roussopoulos. One of the two anarchist bookshops in Sydney is Black Rose Books which has existed in various guises since 1982.

Black Rose was the title of a respected journal of anarchist ideas published in the Boston area during the 1970s, as well as the name of an anarchist lecture series addressed by notable anarchist and libertarian socialists (including Murray Bookchin and Noam Chomsky) into the 1990s.In the anime series Revolutionary Girl Utena, which is heavily concerned with the symbolism of roses, the black rose represents the dark side of a person's soul. The Black Rose Duelists are the friends of the series' protagonists who have been turned against them by their ignorance, selfish desires and passions that were carefully amplified by a mastermind psychologist, a student named Souji Mikage.

Broadhurst was born in rural Queensland, at Mungy Station, near Mount Perry. She became a singer, winning local eisteddfods, and joined a group known as the Diggers who performed in Toowoomba. In 1922 she joined a comedy sextet known as the "Globe Trotters" and later the "Broadcasters", who toured South East Asia and China. In 1926 she established the Broadhurst Academy in Shanghai, offering tuition in violin, pianoforte, voice production, banjolele playing, modern ballroom dancing, classical dancing, musical culture and journalism.[1]

After her return to Queensland in 1927, she sustained head injuries in a car accident. She then went to England and married Percy Walter Gladstone Kann, an English stockbroker; they co-directed Pellier Ltd, Robes & Modes. Kann and Broadhurst separated, and Broadhurst became involved with diesel engineer Leonard Lloyd Lewis, living in Banstead from 1939. During World War II she joined the Australian Women's Voluntary Services, offering hospitality to Australian soldiers.

In 1949, the couple and their son moved to Australia. She travelled widely and produced 114 landscape paintings, which were first shown as "Paintings of Australia" in 1954 at David Jones Art Gallery, Sydney, then later in Brisbane and Canberra. She was a foundation member of the Art Gallery Society of New South Wales and a member of the Society of Interior Designers of Australia, was a teacher of printmaking and sculpture at the National Art School and was also involved in a variety of charitable activities. Her husband left her and their son in 1961.Returning to Queensland in July 1927, Broadhurst was involved in a car accident before travelling in October to England in the Orvieto. On 22 June 1929 at the Brompton Oratory, South Kensington, she married with Catholic rites Percy Walter Gladstone Kann, a stockbroker. In the early 1930s the two were co-directors (and she designer and dress consultant for) Pellier Ltd, Robes & Modes, in New Bond Street, Mayfair. But Kann soon departed and she and her second husband Leonard Lloyd Lewis, a diesel engineer, lived at Banstead, Surrey, from 1939. During World War II she joined the Australian Women's Voluntary Services, offering hospitality to Australian soldiers. In 1945 the Lewises moved to Worthing, Sussex, where Florence obtained fishing and passenger boat licences. She became honorary secretary of the Art Women's Movement Against Socialisation.In 1949 she came back to Australia with Lewis and their son. Taking up painting, she drove around northern and central Australia, reportedly producing some 114 works in two years. Solo exhibitions of her 'Paintings of Australia' were held in 1954 at David Jones's art gallery, Sydney, and next year at Finney's gallery, Brisbane, and at the Art Society of Canberra gallery. She also participated in group showings, including the All Nations Club's Ten Guineas and Under exhibition at David Jones. Florence became a foundation member of the Art Gallery Society of New South Wales and a member of the Society of Interior Designers of Australia.
